What A Surprise! grew out of another passion project of mine, Soshyals, a community built to help people connect and create meaningful experiences.

Through it, I saw how much joy comes from shared moments, laughter, togetherness, small acts that make people feel seen.

But I also noticed something: when it came to gifting, people often wanted to express love or appreciation but didn’t know how to do it in a way that truly felt personal.

That’s where What A Surprise! began.

I wanted to make it easier for people to gift experiences, not just things. To help them say “I thought of you” in ways that feel intentional, warm, and memorable.

Each box is thoughtfully curated to capture a feeling - comfort, joy, nostalgia, celebration - while keeping the experience effortless and convenient.

Because at the heart of it all, it’s still about what inspired Soshyals in the first place: helping people connect, celebrate, and make everyday life feel a little more special.
